The second he said Wakanda was a wake-up call and the movie Black Panther, I cut it off. Ridiculous how a comic book movie has generated think pieces, inspiration, etc.. Amazes me how things with legitimate substance inspire a small portion of people long term, while fluff will do the same for a large populace short term. Black Panther obviously falls in the latter category. Gonna be interesting when this movie's motivational effect dies off and this newly inspired group of Black people forget and fall right back into the quagmire of fukkery based entertainment or typical struggle based films .

I remember when I went to the Ivory Coast when I was a kid and they showed the rubber plantations which the French were pillaging and exporting to be processed. Then they'd sell the rubber back to the Ivory Coast (and of course around the world) making a ton of money. shyt always stuck with me.

No need to make a big deal about a buncha rocks that really aren't that precious in the bigger scheme of things.

fukk a diamond, we want the land. The land and all that comes with it, precious gems included. Then we'll find that cosmetic diamonds were just toys compared to what they're taking from the soil.

Hell the food that's grown alone could feed the entire world if it'd been managed right but it hasn't. But we should be working towards making sure all Black people are fed.
