While we were dating, the wife hit me with, "my ex keeps calling me, but I don't answer, it's getting annoying."
I say, "you talking to him?
"
Her: "NO!!!!" (I know they had a bad relationship and horrible breakup)
Me: "You gonna be with who you want to be with
"
She never mentioned that or anything like that to me again, she bought a new phone and got a new number two weeks later, unprompted. That was fairly early on, like 4-5 months in, we married about 9-10 months after that.
Point being I made it understood I wasn't with the games. She acted accordingly. If you gotta play "power" games, you losing already. The time and effort spent "fighting/gaming" the other could be spent loving each other. Jealousy should be there, but kinda under the radar. I love my wife and trust her but I get a little jealous when I see her talk to other men at her job or church or something. Not in a bad way, more like I want all her attention, but that's unreasonable and stupid. She feels the same it's, i don't know, fun and keeps my attraction for her high.
Can't be playing games though, either you with em or you not...either you trust em or you don't. Life too short for the bullcrap.
