But we now live in times when good men can be fooled into believing doing evil things are for the greater good.

This is true in a global scale currently

The statement gets trotted out by both sides when it is politically convenient.

And Historically millions of "good" men died fighting "evil".

Yes. Doing absolutely nothing of substance ensures evil will win. You may still lose doing something, but evil faced opposition that altered their plans in some manner. Defining what is good & evil is a different discussion.

I agree. But I think the issue is that the evil out weights the good.
I think most people are neutral (or atleast performatively good.) I believe there's a small percent of people on both sides, who are genuinely "Good" or "Evil".

For example: Good people make up 20%, Evil people make up the other 20% and the rest are 60% neutral. Like bell curve
