Generally speaking, one major problem in this country more often than not is that people like to put overwhelming pressure on Dems to do shyt or have constant criticism for when they're perceived of not doing enough for the people. Yet the same time are always silent as a mouse nor seen applying pressure on Republicans/Conservatives when they don't do anything not even the bare minimum and worse of all the GOP bluntly makes it clear they're not going to do anything and for you to not bother and people just submit and accept them doing nothing to no avail with no questions asked. That's a problem.

I believe the bolded quote above perfectly summarizes how most Americans are when it comes to Republicans and their lack of care for the people.

I normally don't try to get into these political discussions on here these days since most of them turn into cesspools but I feel like this is a discussion that needs to be had about the future of America.

The GOP targets a mindset, even living in poverty with that mindset they find a way to maintain, the Democrats target a changing America.

It's not really complicated, imagine being around a warzone and having family around you and a gun at your side vs being in a war being told you need to learn to drive a tank or fly a plane, it's a different mentality.

How the GOP trains their party, they don't need money but family and a system so they'll still vote red after losing benefits and so forth and if they have to eat tuna everynight or dinner they'd do that.

The democrats don't really push family too much or communities of structure so they push more of a individualistic mindset so how they move and how they speak to people they'll naturally demand more(school loans, free aid, lower healthcost) and so forth.

Truth be told alot of people can live in poverty and as long as they have a companion, a couple family members they'll probably be alright, the GOP knows this very well, lots of countries outside america have that same mentality.

So no one expects the GOP to do anything.

But the funny thing is no american wants war, even if their is a war most GOP voters are gonna be against it so all the defense spending for no defense in a sense.

I don't think so.

The only mechanism by which we can "treat" politicians any kind of way is with our votes, and Democrats overwhelmingly win the popular vote.

Someone getting on Facebook and publicly proclaiming that they disagree with "politician who did ______" isn't imo a form of "treatment" because that politician doesn't give a fukk. They give a fukk about votes.

The problem is that Republicans are a group of idiots and a$$holes from top to bottom. So at the top you have companies paying Congressional Republicans to vote against measures to limit the cost of insulin. Then at the bottom, you have the fukking idiots who contort their morality around whatever immoral thing the Republicans just did.

Yes, Dems are held to a higher standard and its obvious. Obama's character had to be flawless, and still got dragged. Al Franken was forced to resign his seat over an old inappropriate joke, but Republicans were two percentage points away from putting a chomo in the Senate in Alabama.

That chart is 100% right. Im dying at how accurate that shyt is. The "Not Good Enough!" needs another line that says "Should have been done sooner!".

Because that's literally all you get out of some mfers when the left in this country accomplishes something. Its either not good enough, or too late. Meanwhile Republicans out here blatantly being racist and the response to that is still somehow to shift the blame.

Republicans = evil/honest so no expectations.

Democrats = supposed to represent us and dont so (juelzing continues).

In real life, most folks are apolitical and I hear something akin to “they dont care about us” with no real details. The chart posted is absolutely true. Another big problem is if people dont know what has been done for them (because its not easily seen or something) then it functionally did not happen. Few folks in my family are going to get breaks on student loans thanks to the pell grant clause. I wont. Does this mean I need to start chirping and making up magical shyt that Republicans do for their constituents or talk about riches flowing into asian/hispanic communities without mentioning specifics? No.

One of the worst things I ever did when it came to politics admittedly was go high-minded when Obama got in: my standards werent high but I was saying “I know he is a black President, but is he a good President?” Im in my early 20s not knowing the jobs of the President, congress, and judiciary but was ready to disregard the man like I was just letting another black man let me down. Sure enough years later, I get hip to half the bullshyt he dealt with, the fact that the “supermajority “ he had wasnt even available half the time and people still talk like he was just kicking it for two years…man all I know is actually learning how shyt works let me know how often we are here not just because of callous disregard but because of active obstruction from the opposition that has a vested interest in correlating their bullshyt with anything the Democrats do no matter how benign. To most cats minds, Dems not having enough votes to pass something we want IS THE SAME IF NOT WORSE than actively voting against, stonewalling against, legislating against, and litigating against something that is a positive for our people. The more I learn, the more I am losing hope in people getting right so we can fight some shyt.

One side claims they aren't as bad as the other, but their actions show that they are all cut from the same clothe. I will never understand how you can vote for someone who explicitly tells you that they will not pay for the crimes of their ancestors. Someone who told you that you aren't black if you don't vote for him. Someone who spent the majority of his life holding racists views against the people who look to his party as a savior.

The fact that his party picked him tells you everything you need to know about them. The "smile in your face while feeding you poison" crew. I don't like neither one and before you tell me that they are the lesser of two evils I'm just going to say that I don't choose evil no matter how nice they are. God is always an option.

So I vote democrat.. almost every time but don’t think either side is all that different. I’m a realist … so I like to think. The problem with democrats is they masquerade as “ for the people “ and when it’s time to do just that .. they ( for the most part) fall all the way back. When it comes to black folks they always assume they have our votes locked in .. it’s tiring to see. .we’re also the only group they do that too. To answer the question I think Dems get more passes then they deserve.
