People who want to refuse vaccines because they think it will cause autism are telling you "I would rather risk my child dying from a preventable disease" imagine hearing that as someone with a loved one on the spectrum or being someone with autism themselves. People telling you they'd rather risk their kid dying than be like that.
Then it makes me wonder what do these big brain parents do if their child develops autism despite abstaining from vaccines? What or who do they blame at that point? Do they just pretend that it's not an issue?

I was talking to this white woman at work, and she was talking about her autistic grandson.
I don't believe there's a link between vaccines and autism but I know the people I work around so I asked her "do you think your grandson being vaccinated has anything to do with his autism?"
Without missing a beat she says "Yea he is half Asian so"
Like what the fukk did him being half Asian have to do with his autism

Not but I do think there may be a link between autism and chemicals people come in contact with from everyday products.
Like others have posted I think over time as doctors have a better understanding of the condition they can better identify it and so it seems like there has been an explosion of diagnosis and many people don't understand that correlation. Also wasn't one of the claims blaming vaccines was the additive mercury which they removed decades ago and there is still an increase is autism?
It could be vaccines, could also be recreational drugs and/or genetics.
Until recent years, the black community was not testing for autism, everything was a learning disability or behavioral disorders. Many are able to overcome it and become functional adults but are also passing those genes to their children.

I'm clearly not well versed in science or medicine, but i don't think it makes much sense for a vaccine(ie a dead virus) to cause a genetic defect. Literally two separate things isn't it?
