My argument

There are certain characteristics that only the 3 pure races have that are specific to them as a group

For Causacoid White or tanned complexion coupled with blue, light eyes and narrow noses and fine/curly hair this would be the majority

Negroid nappy hair broad nose , brown to dark skin complexion with brown eyes

Mongloid Asian Yellow pigment, Very fine dark hair slanted eyes

Now white people may have categorized certain non white races to be black to benefit them somehow but it is very real and not a construct.
build an argument using 17th century racist terms brehs.

Of course race is a social construct...

Now what?

Seriously race being a social construct means absolutely nothing at this point. It doesn't make race any less "real" as it effects our day to day lives.

You can go to the most racist person in the world and say "show me the black gene"
And that's not going to do anything to lessen their racism :yeshrug:

My question is why is having to prove race to be a social construct such a huge concern as though it matters?

Why do people feel they're intelligent for recognizing basic facts of science and biology?

Exactly. Everytime someone tells me this, I ask them how it effects their lives knowing this.
Never any follow up.

It means nothing.

OP which phenotype takes precedent? An African with dark skin and very fine hair or with a very narrow nose or with slanted eyes...what "race" are they?

Like has been pointed out by others earlier: your argument is wrong. Can you show your data to support the argument that the majority of the "3 pure races" have the characteristics you listed? How would you categorise those that you've implied aren't in the majority, or part of the "pure"?

Majority rules , we are going to act like most white people don't have pale or tan skinned with curly fine hair ? Anything else would be the exception to the rule.

So what race(s) are those exceptions? What race(s) are those who aren't "pure"? That's what I want to know.

The pic ,they have afro textured hair , their nostrils are wide and they have melanin therefore they are not caucasoid or mongloid

A dark skin man with a narrow nose I would still consider black if he had afro textured hair ,but if he had very fine hair like an indian then no I would say hes mixed

It might not lessen an individual's racism, but understanding human groupings is actually important from a scientific perspective. A scientist, and, to some extent, a sociologist, with poor knowledge of human categorisation can end up doing shoddy research that may, at worst, be harmful.

Anyone who doesn't know this already simply doesn't want to know.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but i'm just tired as fukk of black people constantly always having the responsibility of helping white people understand race. Now we have to explain basic genetics to them? No, fukk that.

At some point we have to be honest with ourselves and realize ignorance isn't what's going on here, its hate.

You've just described my sister (dark skin, fine hair and narrow nose) and she's not Indian.

I think the word you're looking for is ethnicity. Each personal has an ethnicity (pure or mixed). "Race" is a lazy way of categorising people and lumping them together. AA ethnicity is a mixture of West African tribes, you can find out which one by doing a DNA test, I can't remember who but there was a celeb who did hers and found out her mtDNA was linked to Ghana.
