Everyone calls AI, Kobe and Melo type players ball hogs(which they are) because they jack up a lot of shots.
But, why aren't players that pound the rock for an extended amount of time and have to make the pass that leads to the assist not considered ball hogs too?

I just explained in my last post. If you ever played organized ball or hell any type of ball you know a ballhog is someone who pretty much looks to shoot every time they touch the ball and don't look for the open teammates. Overdribbling is a form of ballstopping where you slow down the game and sometimes ice teammates out of the game by waiting too long to make the proper pass.
