Everyone calls AI, Kobe and Melo type players ball hogs(which they are) because they jack up a lot of shots.

But, why aren't players that pound the rock for an extended amount of time and have to make the pass that leads to the assist not considered ball hogs too?

I bought a Carbon 15 when I was 18
So you're asking if the 1st and 2nd place assist leaders are ball hogs

Did this nikka basically ask is the PG a ball hog position?? :heh: :deadrose:

Ball hog is synonymous with being a selfish player

If a player dribbles around and around and only pass the ball when it leads to an assist isn't that just as selfish as Melo coming down the court and jacking a 3?

Time and time again CP3 and Rondo pass up great shots to get assist

Hey dummy. Passing the ball so that teammate can score is the opposite of ball hogging.

I've also heard about national televised Rondo and strictly CSN Rondo and the obvious difference between the 2. Threadstarter is confusing overbribbling with being a ballhog. Ballhogging is the exact opposite. You are looking to shoot only not pass.

:beli: I just explained in my last post. If you ever played organized ball or hell any type of ball you know a ballhog is someone who pretty much looks to shoot every time they touch the ball and don't look for the open teammates. Overdribbling is a form of ballstopping where you slow down the game and sometimes ice teammates out of the game by waiting too long to make the proper pass.

Because they've got this stupid notion that assists don't equate to being a ball hog, and that the only way you can ballhog is to dominate the ball and shoot. When being a ballhog has more to do with dominating the ball rather than shooting it (in terms of this argument).

Naw it isn't. You can still be a ball hog and pass the ball to a teammate to score.

Overdribbling = ball-hogging.
