I think the difference between this and martin is the intended audience and the fact that Martin is relatable. Here the characters are very exaggerated, buffoonish and cartoonish. The reason this vid went viral other than the production is that it played on people's nostalgia for the Disney music and movie.

If it was just a normal white girl who goes to the hood, the c00ning would be more obvious.

Everyone. Dude is ambitious/ an opportunist. He's been so focused on getting famous and making money that he's burned a couple bridges getting where he is.

Other gay men and "theater kids " are also problematic in the fact that they exaggerate stuff and do stuff for the sake of shock and campy drama. Usually, not caring who they offend.

I feel like he has put his dignity and the respect of his background and culture on the backburner for the sake of views and hits. The black people in his videos aren't people to be laughed with but laughed at.

Look at the people who are in his vids, one is Glozell another real life c00nish caricature, the other girl who's name I forget, got in trouble for making a Harriet Tubman sex tape parody video.

I just feel like people go too far. At first it was cool/funny but every video it's the same shucking and jiving, I had to stop.
