I had a lawn service when I first moved in. They didn’t come for two weeks due some scheduling bullshyt. I took it as he wasn’t making enough money off me. So I went and got a lawn mower.

I love cutting my grass now :yeshrug: I edge, cut bushes, whatever is needed. I built a retainer wall and filled it with roses. I got spot in the front full of tulips. Started a small garden in the back. I failed a lot, but now my neighbors tell me how good my yard looks. I dug up about 40 feet of my yard and filled it with mulch and flower pots and decorations.

I take pride in it. I’m debating about painting my house now. I don’t have any experience, but I would love to attempt it.

Yep, I cut mine. I actually look forward to it. I put on my headphone, cut the grass, and no one bothers me.

My dad wouldn’t let me cut his growing up, and now I understand why.

Do you have a self propelled lawn mower? I got a regular lawnmower from Walmart for like $100 some years back. About two years ago I came across this old man selling lawnmowers he repaired. He sold me a self propelled one and it was $125. I thought he was crazy for the price, but he told me if I didn’t like it bring it back. I love it

Yep, mine is self propelled with a Honda motor. Much easier to maneuver around the yard with one. $125 is not a bad price at all.

I used to pay this high school kid when my mower broke down.

Other than that, I think it's better to cut your own lawn since you can cut it as often as you'd like. Cutting it two to three times a week in the growth season vs. once every week or two.

I bought all the equipment, but I went back to letting a crackhead do it. I just maintain my garden. He mows the lawn front and back for $30. But he rang my doorbell a couple months ago asking for $10. I refused. So I doubt he’s coming back this spring. I haven’t even seen him riding his bike around. He would attach the mower and trimmer to the back of his bike. But my brother in law does construction, and one of his Mexicans does yard work. He’ll probably do it this year for the same price.

I got a little lazy over the summer because I was depressed. But I’m a whole new person now.

I do but yesterday had a Hispanic guy trim the tree on the side of my house. Cut my grass, do my landscaping and today he's suppose to come back to clean up under my deck, which includes wood from my previous deck and a bunch of shyt for $400. His wife is also suppose to clean my house, wipe the baseboards and wall, top to bottom, from basement to 2nd level for about $200. Got a
