No. Worry about yourself. I’ve dealt with that at work and it never ends well. People walking around blasting salaries especially of people they don’t like. Don’t do it

Generally no but it wouldn’t matter we all on the same GS pay scale. Plus it’s public info lol. Depending on how many years someone got you can pretty much guess. Might slighty differ with yearly increase & step

My employer publishes the compensation ranges and median for all roles and grade levels. You can pull up the compensation application and know immediately if you're being underpaid relative to the median for your position.

Im now keen on this amd reading stories of new hires making more than someone who been with a company 5+ years. Staying loyal just aint worth it these days. nikkahs be giving you 3% raises, meanwhile ole boy come in making $25k more than you for the same job.

I tell people time and time again to stick up for yourself. We all complain about low wages but scared to speak at the same time. Is it easy? No. It took me 8 years to hit $59k only because I had another offer. Then I job hopped and got damn near $30k raise.

In about 2 years im searching again and asking for $120k:lolbron:

I'm a jackass so whenever I was asked, I tell them a lower salary that I have lol. Works every time

Too many low self-esteem jealous co-workers that want to see your downfall

I work with a guy who been with the company for 11 yrs and im less then 4 yrs. I make like 2 dollars more even tho he's been driving for almost 30 yrs . These companies screw over the invested workers cuz they know they won't leave cuz then they gotta start over somewhere else . It's a dirty game out here

Hell no.

(A) when you matter at your job, you’ll have the clearance to see all that “confidential“ stuff anyway.
(B) …and it’s one thing to know, but it something else entirely to go discussing with other people.
People get paid what they agreed to.

There is no downside to having more information
As a black person who may be working around a bunch of cacs you should absolutely want to know. It's a good chance you're being underpaid
My first job in my current field I was making $65k some Chinese dude who just got out of college and barely did anything was making $80k. Another more senior Chinese dude sitting next to me was making $200k+
