No...I do math everyday already in my major. Laplace transforms are what I'm doing now. IF you need to stay busy learn how to do that :francis:

I signed up for khan academy my math skills are :flabbynsick:
In all seriousness, look into signing up for coursera courses. They're structured like a real class and taught by real professors. However they're free. Plan on personally taking a class in python during the summer on there. Already signed up

Had to do Laplace Transforms and Newton's Iterative method for my final exams last year. Those 18 hour revision shifts :snoop:

look at some of the MOOCs offered at coursera or edx
there are good options across the spectrum
some include programming elements
there was one where we searched for trends in baseball stats
besides applied statistics there are optimizing problems
check some industrial engineering journals
i used to relax with some supply chain problems, or warehousing
nothing too serious

I used to do that stuff for school, and it no doubt does keep some part of your mind sharp. If you want critical thinking skills to go into orbit, do physics problems.

But remember, you need to do something with your heightened skills to make the best of it. I don't simply mean doing math/physics, but take those next level reasoning skills into your work or another area where they benefit. Be aware of the "too much knowledge and not doing" cycle.
