Do you ever see a single presidential candidate that is a scientist becoming president?

The last President is often the polar opposite at least in terms of personality and characteristics so it could happen

Look at Bush to Obama

There isn't anything special about being a scientist. If they have the drive, charisma, and connections, they could become president like someone coming from any other random job.

The biggest obstacle is just that few scientists are going to be fukking around in those circles, they usually too busy for that and focused on other priorities.

Angela Merkel has a PhD in Quantum Chemistry. She only did research science for 3 years after finishing her degree though.

Jimmy Carter had a B.S. in engineering and worked on a nuclear sub, then was going to grad school in nuclear physics when his dad died and he left to take care of the farm.

Currently 6 U.S. Representatives have PhD's in a science field.
