It's been a while and I usually pay with my phone. Even using my actual card feels like a distant memory, let alone bills and change.
But still, it's the principle of it all. Why didn't he give him a penny back? He has to do accounting on his side too, right?
I'm sure if every customer started being a penny short they'd have a paper sign up by the next day declaring that they would make no exceptions of being a penny short.

Run me my change ak, my friend, papi, chengen w/e. It adds app over the years. Just cashed my change jars from around the house from last year had like 32 bucks in there. Do you know what type of strange a chick would do for 32 us in change down in Central and South America

So when they wanted to debase the currency with coins they had to do very obvious things that would make the public readily aware of what they were doing for example they put a hole in the middle of the coin or they'd make it thinner or dilute it with cheaper metals
However all of these things were readily obvious
