Jay did the right/smart thing when he saw the game changing and his decline coming: Joint album with Kanye, Joint album/tour with Beyonce, Stadium tour with Em, Samsung deal to cheat the sales, etc. But he ain't really did shyt on his own since BP3.

jay last lowest selling first week was in 1998 with 300k. Vol 2 was that album and it’s sitting on 6 million

he has never had a first lower than 400k since 1998

he didn’t need any of the shyt u say off. tbh those phone deals/tidal exclusivity hurt his sales. Jay consistency/relevance will never be matched ever

No it wasn't. Was like 2013/2014 for u2.And Jay's album wasn't loaded on to all their phones like U2s was. There was an app you got and then got the album. Wasn't just snuck onto people's phones like u2s

it sold 262k it’s 2nd week. Mind u the album wasnt on the biggest streaming service (Spotify). 444 didn’t get on Spotify til years later
