Missy higher than Jeezy? :dahell:

Far as inspiration?

:whoa:

Jeezy impact was wild my man I think you forgetting how strong Jeezy came on bruh

Two different types of inspiration.

Jeezy inspired hustlin'/trappin' nikkas everywhere with Trap or Die and Thug Motivation 101,I get that.I was one of the nikkas banging that shyt throughout the hood.

MIssy showed women everywhere that you don't have to be dime piece sex symbol to make it in the game.

I'm just saying it shouldn't be a stretch to say Missy's impact should be on par with Jeezy's..but i'm also taking her R&B work in consideration also.If we just want to keep it hip hop I'll have to put Jeezy above her like i did on my list. But if we're just talking music period i'll have to consider puttin' Missy above him

Im not saying something wrong with missy her impact just hasn't been as strong as gucci for better or worst.

Gucci's impact is limited, dude never had the mainstream success everyone else on my list.Yeah Kitchen Talk,Sportscenter, and No Pad No pencil was blasted in hoods everywhere but dude never converted that to mainstream success. And to keep it 100 he owes his success to TIP and Jeezy to paving that lane that he's runnin' in.

He's in that Boosie,Devin Tha Dude lane to me.Yes,they have had impact but it's limited bc of the lack of mainstream success they had.

I agree. Kinda. While gucci didn't have the mainstream success some of the people he influenced have plus the current sound of hip hop is greatly influenced by gucci

He's definitely top 10 from the South but not number 1. And I don't know why dudes is laughing at KRIT being a better artist because he is. His music has substance and replay value. Wayne, while an amazing rapper at his peak, doesn't have a lot of material I can go back and play like that.

Once you've heard the punchlines so many times, you realize his work has no depth. Not a lot of hidden gems, themes or messages to take from the music after you've heard it a few times.

That's why the greats like Pac, Nas, Jay, etc all can be played to this day. There are life lessons in the music. Wayne style was all flare. He had his moments on C1 and C2 but he generally is a punchline rapper.

Big Krit :mjlol: show some respect

As for the other part of your post, it's all opinion dude

I listen to Wayne more than I listen to Nas and Pac combined and I'm not in the minority either

That's true, but what i'm saying is without TIP and Jeezy, there isn't a Gucci. That's where i knock him along with the lack of mainstream success.

While during Missy's run there wasn't anyone sounding/looking like her.She created that lane and ran it.

Props for this discussion though,i rarely post in this section because it's trash for the most part but this thread is dope.

Anyone saying KRIT is in the same discussion as Weezy - deserves a slap in the face. It's disrespectful.

For me - Weezy right behind BIG, Jay, Nas, Andre. He's in the field with Ghostface, Ice Cube and em...

im a well known non wayne stan...but wayne has way better catilouge than ross
If we're going to give Weezy the crown from 2004-2008 for his work, then we gotta admit that Ross has been a better artist than Wayne for the past seven years.

Since 2009 Ross has consistently been ahead of Wayne. Yeah Wayne is the bigger, more legendary artist but if we're putting him in the GOAT convos his catalog would be the most trash, next to Eminem's.

Deeper Than Rap & Teflon Don can be put up against any of Wayne's albums quality-wise.

Then you have Rich Forever, GFID, Black Dollar...Ross still makes incredible music. Wayne is living off his legacy at this point.

This is what I'm talking bout tho... Weezy's music is trash compared to those nikkas...

Face deserved to be amongst those ranks more than him.
Only rappers who were better at their peak than Wayne were Pac and Nas...maybe throw Slick Rick in there, too.
