It’s always been biweekly for me.
I used to work for a mom and pop restaurant that would pay weekly if you chose or give you a small advance to get you through til the next paycheck. ( whole bunch of college students ).
I chose biweekly because I knew I would blow through it quickly if it was weekly.

I work in healthcare. this is my 3rd hospital group, and ALL of them pay bi-weekly on thursdays. even when I worked for one in texas. same thing. bi-weekly on thursdays.
