In my experience, the only time they ask is when someone has purchased electronics

it definitely depends on the greeter. some of them wanna be or just feel like they have something to do.

some don't even give a fukk about their job period. there are the ones on the electronic tip though. i remember that story where people were stealing shyt. so i stop if i'm buying some type of game/device thing. never bought an actual tv from walmart so i'm not even sure how they know. might be a psychological thing.
