Do you guys agree that "woke" people are some of the worst to have a conversation with

Most woke people who try to spit knowledge to me are really just conspiracy theorists who don't make any sense at all. And they just throw in "the white man" when they start to confuse themselves

Anybody who is fanatical about anything is going to wear on your nerves.

Even a dime who was obsessively and single-mindedly interested in only sucking my dikk would eventually get annoying.

It is what it is.

I found the best thing IRL to do is let other people talk and just listen. Throw out little subjects and just see where people's mind is at before you really go in. Will save you time and energy. Not everybody has the same experiences, so they might not see things how you see it. I've realized you got years of negative images and people's past experiences with other black people (and some people have it rough) to compete with. Also come to realize that people might not necessarily be pro black but they might not be a against us either. Keep it cordial that way you can be assets or teach/learn from each other in the future.

We're literally in the exact same mind-frame.

like my girl said one time. " ok...that's enough... all this thinking making my head hurt"

If a pro cat is trying to debate rather than converse...I can see your point, but I quite frankly never tire of thinking about us, planning, educating, discussing, etc. Passion is the word, but feels urgent these days...:yeshrug:

The perceived images of black people that comes from living in certain places and generalizing is usually what I'm working against. I'm always cordial but I've gotten into some pretty heated arguments lately.

It's really quite interesting. I've had discussions with people who've lived a life that nearly mirrors mine but somewhere along the way the mindset split.

Out of all people I've discussed things like black power and identity politics, my mom has been the one most open to it even though it kinda bugs her. That one makes me feel alright.

I'm also a little bit hindered by the fact that my mouth rarely catches up to my brain and articulating a point can be incredibly difficult.

Yea man, I've seen people get kind of heated about it too. Thats why I just vet through conversation. It either saves me energy or gives me energy. If they not the type who I want to talk on it, I just move the conversation on to somewhere else, no harm no foul as long as they aint shytting on black folks. If they are the type who seem to talk on our issues, then we can have discussions on it. In either conversation, Im trying to pull some jewels or see what we can do for each other in the future.

I feel you...but some people are just annoying. Pro blackness doesn't have a thing to do with it.

Dealt with many pro blacks that are down for the cause but don't throw it in your face. They just live by it.

To me you're saying more by actually doing rather than talking. The ones just talking, in all circles, are the annoying ones and you can normally spot it a mile away.

Hit it right on the nail :obama: especially when you got cats who just began their conscious phase and has to bring every topic back to race, or when they get into that smartdumb Oswald Bates territory, over thinking shyt or just spouting myths. There's a time and a place :comeon:

I'd rather deal with 10,000 more conversations with "woke" people than to have to talk to young White guys and girls, or ignorant people.
The people who are the irritating ones are the "fake-woke" people who have no idea about any of the foundational works or movements in Black/Leftist though, but like masquerading around as "knowledgeable" because they complain about "the system," and the "Hoteps" who move Afrocentrism from a solid field of thought, into the land of the ridiculous.
