NY and even the East Coast in general doesn't really have a new sound to give to the world. we just imitate other sounds like Trap music, chopped and screwed (ASAP Rocky), Drill music. yes we have artists that do boom bap but it isn't what people are really checking for now and this is coming from somebody who loves that boom bap sound. do you guys think New York has to try and reinvent it's sound ??

I don't believe in blaming the radio. NY nikkas just not making hit records right now. I heard a few decent sounding joints on Respect Life. And NY still got lyricists but nikkaz is busy trying to remake a sound that already peaked a decade ago.
