I think my smart phone and I pad facilitate my possible addiction. It is so easy. I am the type of person who, if I am in a conversation or watching TV and I want to look up some information on the subject I can do it right then. I like to look up things and people opinions interest me. That's how I found this forum.

same, i love reading about things. like today i was reading about "avoidant" attachment type which describes me, which means relationships are usually tough for me, i was like dear god....

when im working for many days in a row or go out of town for a few days and realize a lot of my internet habits are a waste of time til im right back at it the next week

that doesn't count the time i'm on instagram, and whatsapp, and texting. or watching tv shows online. it could go up to 3-4 hours average a day.

yes, when you add on all the time I spend texting, going on instagram, and all the other things your phone offers. not continuously, just throughout the day.
yep. I'm addicted to the internet the same way I was addicted to libraries and bookstores. I'm addicted to new and weird ideas, learning new things in my fields of interest, finding new fields of interest and dumb jokes.
I'm addicted to watching other people. Watching them form their opinions on things. Watching the physical manifestation of their internal thought processes... it only translates here as the written (typed) word, but still. Watching their reactions to stuff and to each other.
Every book, magazine, movie, album and television show is here.
I've seen whole lives lived out here in 10 years.
How could I ever put it down?
If it shut down tomorrow, we'd all be screwed. 3/4 of our mental existence would be wiped out.
I'm dangerously close to installing TOR or onion browser and exploring deepweb.
