Detroit and other cities with issues with their downtown areas or close to it, will only change once these developers come in and start gentrification and start raising prices and start having long time residents priced out which is usually blacks and brown people and then they can start having white people moved back in and make sure nikkas are 15 miles outside the city..

I visited the city this year and was impressed with what they have done with downtown and midtown. They even put in a light rail line in addition to the small one they had downtown. I was shocked. They've done a great job with downtown and Wayne State university area.

West side near Dearborn still needs some work as well as eastside North of WCCD campus

I've been to Detroit many times and I love that city, but it needs a lot of work and it's going to take a lot of time.

Like there are whole neighborhoods of just boarded up abandoned houses. But I won't forget that that city was sabotaged and left to die as it was supposed to be the model of a successful black middle class city.

Hopefully Detroit stays black. Because it is a very important city no matter what people say.

Climate change is only getting worse. Lots of the south and southwest are fukked. My prediction is that in the 2050s or so there will be a LOT of people moving to the midwest, so Detroit will eventually have a massive resurgence

If more technology is created to handle cold and snow like the AC was for the heat and which helped the south grow then yes this is def true.
