I love light denim for some reason. I also love distressed jeans.

I have an affinity for dark indigo jeans. Dark blue. Like super dark blue to the point where one would think they were black until exposed to light.

Dark navy selvedge jeans with nikes or vans is my MO.
I personally like to cuff the jeans a little bit to expose the selvedge line in the cuff to contrast with the sneakers.
old, dark and worn jeans look great.
light denim just looks washed out and it's hard to work a shirt with.
i tend to believe that darker colors have more weight and density to them and therefore work better as pants because of our subconscious understanding of gravity.

There's a japanese denim brand that actually operates by the bolded. They do limited numbers and all of them are hand dyed and sewn indvidually. That's usually why most selvedge jeans are dark navy blue and they have weights ranging from 12oz to 48oz. They last longer too.
I do like light colored jeans though with white tshirts and white sneakers...like light worn denim.
