Do you involve your partner in financial decisions ?

A while back I spoke to my dad and he said that my mother has never paid rent or a single bill since they've been together.

Then speak to my BM I realised that I don't particularly respect her view on money (whilst she is a great saver she really panics about the smallest decisions that involve money).

I am thinking that the best approach is just to boss up and handle all financial decisions and let her do what she does with her money. This limits my headaches and lets me atlas know that everything is provided for and if it isn't then i'm slacking.

So more like, no joint accounts or expenses, I would just pay for things.

Absolutely. Me and my girl are business partners together and she's proven herself to be completely trustworthy with money.

Plus she's super frugal with her money and even more frugal with my money. She still washes out sandwich bags to reuse them

Frugal is good. Do you guys travel ? Own a mortgage or any debt ? If me and my BM are biz partners, she is a silent partner She workin her way up the ladder though.

Of course I do
I ultimately make the choice cuz she rather me do it than her but I trust her any questions she has she just asks me and I'll say yes or no too her

I'm more frugal with my money than her but she is frugal too just not as bad as me
I don't ever worry bout money with her when she spends it either so it's nice
I take care of all the bills and pay them she may pay 1 or 2 bills
We have a good system in place so we're good in that area or we wouldn't have gotten this house we got if money was bad

Yeah, we travel usually 2-3 times a year. We didn't travel last year as we were funding our business but we're planning a trip to either Costa Rica or Belize this summer. We own 2 properties (both with mortgages) but that's pretty much our only debt.

My girl is my equal breh. She's extremely smart and is one of the hardest working women I've met. I'm not sure how she pulled it off, but our business is going to be featured on the evening news in Cincinnati (we sent off our products to them last week). She focuses on social media, making sure our suppliers are shipping our stuff on time, and most of the day to day stuff. I do all the marketing and technical shyt (website, backend integration, analytics, etc).

If you can't trust your girl, shake that hoe. Having a woman you can trust that's on the same page is like having a damn cheat code in life

Interesting. It ain't that I can't trust her its that she doesn't work like I work. As I run a biz my philosophy is spend money (wisely) to make money. Additionally she is risk averse whilst I take calculated risks to ensure my ability to provide multiply's whilst she works a safe/reliable/low pressure job (and has for the last 11 years of which I have only known her 3). Eg if we are downt "our" last $1000. I would use X amount to try generate business where she may think hold X amount so we can eat, keep lights on etc.. Similar goals, diff approach. She def exceptional with the money. I could leave $1 or $1 mil in the crib in theory and she wouldn't touch it unless it was life or death and couldn't reach me to get the "OK use it" decision.
