Do you know anyone who has given up on the opposite gender? I don't mean they gave up and went gay either. I'm talking about giving up on relationships and any intimacy with the opposite gender. It could be because of past experiences with them or simply because they stopped caring. These type of people can fall under the radar.

I know a female who has, she went through a horrible 11yr marriage of abuse (mental and physical). Met her at my job, we'd kick it off and on. Asked her about how come she didn't have a guy in her life, she said after that marriage she was completely contempt in being alone. Also the responsibilities that came with being in a relationship she didn't want.

We were compatible enough that we could have been bf/gf however I thought to myself not to put the for someone who didn't want to be saved. She seems happy with work and how her life is.

I have never thought about this topic myself, I'm fine by myself however I have been keeping myself in the dating pool to keep my options open. Would definitely like to meet a female to settle down with.
