Do you know anyone who has had gastric bypass or lap band surgery?

My aunt did and this mom on my AAU track team did as well.

My aunt didnt need to lose that much weight but she looks great now. She also had a breast reduction before the surgery.

The mom from the AAU track team she looked like a totally new person. She looked like her daughter but better looking. But the next time I saw her she had lost even more weight and she looked like a crack head.

I think he had the bypass and feels a lot better now. He was 330 I think, then got down to 190. He looked frail for some reason at that weight. He's at 230 now which is pretty good.

If you think getting the lap band is going to be "easier" than eating well and working out, you are sadly mistaken. You are REALLY going to have to eat well after the surgery, you can't even have cheat days for a while.

well, i do both at the current time.

im just exploring my options which i probably wont even qualify for.

like i said -- i lost 40 lbs last year, gained back half and i lost 10.

im just continuing to work out and eat good but just wanted to ask about it.

She started working out after the surgery was done, so she was toned by that point. Had a few stretch marks but that was about it

my coworker

when i first started at my job back in 2007....she was real big...waddle when you walk type big

she underwent the lap band surgery later on in the year...over the next 2 1/2 years she dropped like 220 lbs...and looked like a different person..although she did have some minor complications

fast forward to now she doesn't seem to be working out consistently anymore and has noticeably gaining thr weight back
