I've never leased a car before and I was just wondering what the pros and cons to doing so are.

I’m currently leasing and never will again.
You only pay for the cars deprecation when leasing and depending on the terms you have a limit of 12000 miles a year and 36000 total in 3 years or some shyt.

I've never leased a car before but if you're the type of person that wants to drive a new car every 2 or 3 year, then leasing is the way to go. Now if you're into modification (supping your car up) then leasing is not for you.... Another downside about leasing is after you pass a 36000? under 3 years or so, the dealer will charge you certain amount of $ for each mile...

Plenty of people that lease tune and mod their cars. Just have to reverse it when it’s time to return it.

Light mods like swapping wheels, tires , catback /axelback exhaust and maybe lowering the suspension is ok if they keep the oem parts and swap it back when it's time to return the car back to the dealer. I wouldn't recommend someone on flashing tune on the ecu or tcu tune (if it's dsg/automatic) on a lease car, that will void the warranty. If there's something wrong with the car's engine or transmission and it needs to be taken to the dealership to get fix, the person that's leasing the car is fukked. The guys at the shop will scan on the ecu to find out what's the problem with the engine and will flag the car that it's been tuned. Then the guys will blame on the tune and you will have to pay out of pocket. And when it's time to return the car once the lease is over , you might have to pay a penalty fee due to the car cannot be sold under CPO with warranty to another buyer. Modifying cars loses it's resale value. Maybe the best way to tune a lease car is by going with a plug and play (piggy back tune) but I wouldn't risk it.

Bro, there’s some Audi dealerships that do APR tunes in house lol. Some don’t care. And for the ones that do, just piggy back like you said and flash to stock when you take the car in. On Audizine there’s someone who leased an S6 and he dropped the engine to revert the car back to stock it was so modded.

Same with with VW but like you've said some dealership offer in house tuning. If you go directly to a APR dealer then, I think you can get away with the TD1 flag bs. Damn , the dude must've spend more than a grand to get the engine drop and revert back to stock unless if he done it himself.
