Do you like background sounds while you sleep?

I can’t go to sleep by myself in a dark silent room, so when the Mrs is away I often fall asleep on the couch and go to actual bed around 3/4 with a little lamp and a random podcast playing.

If she’s in bed then just need a podcast and earphones.

My nephew's & son get nightmares if scary shyt is on. I straight up sleep to horror & murders. Too much quiet bothers me.

Yes, I fall asleep to YouTube videos on my phone - near my bed. Only two person interviews though.

I must have some white noise in the background to sleep. I have a box fan and keep it on 365 days a year and when I travel and don't have a box fan I have a white noise app that sounds just like the box fan.

I'm fine with silence and I'm fine with white noise or random shyt close enough to white noise (traffic, rainfall, fan, whatever). The shyt I can't stand when I'm sleeping is people talking or anything that I feel like I should be paying attention to. If someone playing their TV loud or having an argument outside or some shyt then I'll turn on a fan or play a white noise video just to drown it out.

Ideally complete silence is what I need, all kinds of sounds can stop me from sleeping. Very slight sleeper with insomnia tendencies. Don't mind fans in the summer, but really love sleeping with the sound of rain outside.
