Great post right here. Mirrors my own take. A lot of stuff became clear in my older years.Appreciate your parents while they are alive. Not until I became an adult did I understand my Father's intent. Didn't like his approach and ways, but fully understood his intent.
This is the flip of the coin. Not everybody needs to be parents as they are far too selfish. It's sad the children suffer and yes it can lead to issues in adulthood. Can these issues be risen above? Of course. Do they? In about 65% of the cases they do and I'm being generous. Parental nurturing is underrated. People tend to inflate its value if someone is successful and downplay it if they fell short in any perceived way.I firmly believe a individuals parents is the single greatest determing factor in how someone turns out.

they gonna piss you off then you’ll change your mind again. my mom is pissing me off as we speak about packing her highly excessive luggage for the airportI love my folks and I have made peace with how I was raised. They still do stuff daily to piss me off but oh well.
