Yeah you should, but not the entire time. Like a few seconds on, a couple off etc. If you NEVER make eye contact then you look like you have confidence issues.

In any kind of professional setting , ya always.

If its just casual with friends or strangers, nah .

Not looking someone in the eye is a sign of submission, just like in other animals. When the alpha walks by and all the betas get the  on while looking away.

As a grown man you shouldnt be afraid to look someone in the eyes, if it makes you uncomfortable its prolly cuz youre a socially akward net dweeb.

Its ok tho breh, no hate. :steviej:

it depends on what message i'm trying to convey. i don't do it too much with women because then it turns into a game of stare down to assert sexual dominance (or that's how i feel it is). that doesn't mean i won't look them in the eye on occasion. but i don't make it a point to look in their eyes all the time, otherwise i feel like i'm asserting myself in that manner. but that's more of the case with a woman i don't know. that's the only time it feels like that. with guys though, i don't care unless i'm being serious about something, then i'll look another dude in his eyes to demonstrate my sincerity. really, for me, whenever i look someone in the eye, it's an assertion of my sincerity

Mostly in a serious context like if I'm making a point and I'm making sure that they understand.

I tend to look away or down if a friend is telling me something important in order to give them my ear & show them I'm listening because my hearing kind of sucks and my attention span is all over the place if it's a casual conversation. I'll look them in the eye and nod to show them I understand or agree.

they say you always should, but the shyts to awkward for me after a couple a seconds just staring in to somebodys eyes.

thoughts? :ld:

I do. A lot of how it affects who you're talking to depends on your mindset. If you're forcing it and you're nervous, you'll come off creepy. If you are mastering a cool, smooth, borderline cocky stare down, you'll own a situation.

Nah.
I used to have 100% eye contact with adults when I was a kid and my mom once told me it was impolite. Haven't did it since. Now, I look around and from time to time I make quick eye contact joined with a head nod to let the person I'm talking to know that I listen.
