Do you place your cousins on just about the same level as your siblings?

We are cool but not sibling tight. I have over a hundred 1st cousins, ages 70-20. It’s too many and the older ones (over 50) are from a different generation so it’s just different.

I got 13 brothers and sisters and I’m not even tight with all of them. I got like 5 who I’m super tight with and the others I see/talk to at random maybe once/twice a year

All my first cousins in NYC are girls and we haven't spoken much since '08/'09 we were tight as kids but by them being girls once they got older everything kinda changed and went their own way, so I don't know if we're still tight.

I do have one male first cousin that I've never met in person, outside of speaking on the phone occasionally but he's way older than me with a wife & kids living in Lynchburg.

So I guess not . Feelings are kinda mutual now towards them compared to how I feel about my siblings; yeah we're still family but eh.

I was a only child so my cousins was my sibilings, some of em didn't live far away so I could easily hang with them and vice versa
