Yes bc i worked at places like that and consider it rude to do otherwise. Grown men and women should pick up after themselves and not be leaving shyt all over the place. You would take offense if someone did that to you, so try showing the same courtesy to others.

Depends on how close i am to a cart collector, But i always find myself giving it to an attendant.

I did the carts before when I worked Sam's Club back in the day. They pay people to get carts, why should I do it for them?

As an act of kindness for another human being. Just because they pay someone to do something doesn't mean you should just add to the work these people have to do. THey have floor crew in walmart but would you be cool with just dumping your drink on the ground and walking off instead of putting it in the trash? Same principle. The universe is about balance, we want things from others and even depend upon things from others, so it is good to treat them with a certain level of respect. But hey, you do whatever you want.
