Do you really think you can kill someone?

A favorite quote:

If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

I think most could kill under certain circumstances. We all have that "survival" in us, as well as, I believe, a potential to "lose it". Also I think all the stuff that would stop us from killing (morals, feelings for a fellow human, fear of consequences, etc...) are social constructions built up over centuries precisely to stop us from killing other people, because otherwise how can you build and rule a society. We can throw all those social constructs out the window if needed/wanted, you just have to replace it them with others "I"m doing this fro my family/country/race", "He's a bad guy/threat/terrorist", "I'm obeying orders/protecting my country/protecting our freedom".

Sparking blunts in the shade.
with a gun yeah. with a knife or beating someone to death probably not.

If you have a reason to kill someone, wouldn't jamming a knife in their chest and twisting it slowly while feeling their heart beat frantically at first then get slower and slower until it stopped be more satisfying?
