My family was brought here and fought in every war. I absolutely say the pledge and will rep the flag. It’s not in my profiles or anything, but I don’t have any negative sentiments towards it. Am I acutely aware of the certain type of “patriotic” clown that brandished the flag as well? Sure. But Black folks have to stop allowing white folks to constantly bully us out of feeling comfortable in this country. Thats PART of why we’re not engaged in the the matters that truly govern this country the way we need to be.
