I would think many would say they have serious regrets and in many moments are probably envious of those who live without those burdens of a deception, and pressure, like going to prison, or losing everything.

I'm a management analyst for a government contractor. Just got a govt job as a contract specialist but they going thru my background check now. Hope that goes ok cuz my credit is so so...:francis:

I'm sending positive energy your way breh!

Government jobs are good setups, you get great benefits, and whatnot, that sounds good. Hopefully they won't use that credit check against you.

Thanks a lot.

I hope not. I do know they do extensive background checks on the canidates and want to know all ur business and even ask for people u lived near and shyt. I got the tentative job offer but still waiting for the final job offer. I gotta do a lot of DAU defense and acquisition courses for 2 years but when I'm complete with that...I will be making my desired salary. Plus, I'm tired of being a contractor and wanna put money in my thrift savings and get a pension when I retire ic God bless me to live old.

That sounds great. Are you in the DC area? It makes sense that the government would do an extensive background check on you--simply because it is the government you'll be working for lol. But that's strange that they want to know about your neighbors--like what are they going to do, call your neighbors and ask them about you, lol? How long have you been waiting for your final job offer?

I've been a contractor before, so I completely understand. A full time gig, is usually better especially as far as benefits and insurance. With my gig--I already told my boss my 5 year plan--I want to be retired from this job in five years and writing books full time for a living and perhaps teaching a course at the local community college, what can dream right lol?

Trying to find a remote job within the next year. Spending 8 hours a day doing shyt I don't care about combined with 30-40 min commute time each way is starting to eat at me. I've worked myself into a position where I am working to barely be able to cover my bills and enjoy a whole whopping 2 days off a week. It's mentally draining

Nah, I'm in the 757 area in VA (Norfolk/Vs Beach) and its a lot of military in my area. Not the best paying area either and cost of living is higher than it should be but its a good area to raise a family. I've got the tentative job offer back late March but it was a direct hire job so I was told its gonna take longer for me to get on.

Ur plans sound good but it seems like u got an ideal job whereas y'all behave like adults and they not in ur face so much. Do u travel a lot? Any other perks u have? But yeah it don't hurt to dream and writing books full time would definitely work.
