Do You Still Fukks With Telltale Games?

season 1 of walking dead was brilliant

their subsequent games never quite reached the heights of that, but they still had some gems in between some duds

400 days trash

the wolf among us was fire

season 2 of walking dead thoroughly mediocre

game of thrones not done yet but its been decent

tales from the borderlandson par with wolf among us


the big takeway from this is they are still capable of making compelling adventure games but these nikkas desperately need a new fukkin engine like seriously. all their games look very similar with simple, cartooney graphics and wonky animation. imagine a telltale game with 'until dawn' level production values

from walking dead, to life is strange to the fukkin witcher...

the cumulative experience of it all is still pretty good tho....and thats more than I can say form most games

Playing walking dead 2 now and I played wolf among us. Like walking dead better. But like someone said until dawn is on a whole nother level and it has some of the best graphics to date and I agree there need to be be more choices and actions that happen if you do something

They are really hit or miss. Tales from the borderlands was up there with TWDS1. But this new minecraft one is getting reviews in the 50s. Haven't played GoT yet, but it got mediocre reviews.

Walking Dead Season 1 is Season 2 wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good imo (400 days is somewhere deep in the bushes).
Wolf Among Us was I didn't know much about the comics or anything but it surprised me. Hope it get's a season 2.
Tales From the Borderlands aka the sleeper of 2014/2015 is and i never really could get into the Borderlands series. Tales makes me want to give it another shot. The story, characters, and soundtrack is the holy trinity. shyt, if i had to choose. I'd probably take season 2 from Borderlands before Walking Dead season 3.

Basically, Telltale is batting .700

But, they tell stories better than most other games these days. At the cost of gameplay. When they get it right, it's great material. When they don't, the season is ok as a whole, or not interesting at all.

How is Life is Strange though? I hear it started strong, and was shytting on Telltale. Then the ending turned out to be disappointing. Doubt it's fukking with Borderlands, but I might check it out.

Life is strange is not fukking with Tales from the borderlands. Still a good game though. The last episode was a bit of a letdown, especially the ending

life is strange is good but people have been overrating the fukk out of it. it starts off strong but it gets weaker in the later chapters (when they try and force more "gamey" aspects like a lame stealth sequence for example)
