Way before firearms were invented, humans were surviving in the same wild as all the apex predators. Bears, lions, gorillas, shyt in remote parts of the world we still are living in close contact with these types...
100 men would kill one gorilla, it wouldn't be a Roman Coloseum, line em up style. Humans are highly intelligent, which is why we were able to survive with these things for thousands of years. Obviously if you go in thinking of this like a battle royal, you're setting the squad up for failure...

Bit this is just basic logic. How the fukk we been able to survive I the same habitat as these mf's for literally, thousands of years, if we're unable to kill em? Like, it doesn't even take a lot of thought...
There's no way to know the answer to this but I bet humans have killed countless numbers of gorillas, bears, and lions, throughout existence...
One thing I know too, is mf's in this types of environments generally respect nature. So they not going around fukking with gorillas or any other animals just for the fukk of it. They respect nature and every beings place and purpose in the ecosystem...
People of that cloth not just instigating no fight with no gorilla, and obviously 1, or 2, or 5 men can be overpowered by a gorilla...
But in instances where people had to take one out, I guarantee HUMAN BEINGS understood how they needed to do it. And I'd bet anything it would take far fewer than 100 men to do it, because again this aint like no, line everybody up in an octagon type shyt
