It does for men in general in certain circles, especially among professionals. People give you the benefit of the doubt when they see that youre married. It implies you have some sense of responsibility/maturity and must have some decent qualities if someone willing to marry you

I’m not married so obviously I’m not the demographic that you’re polling but being a corny c00n with no backbone ain’t respectable and people run over those nikkas…I don’t see how having a ring will change that. People in society will always disrespect you if they think they can get away with it.
