8 years ago this polarizing interview took the net by storm

We all know what was said so need to summarize it, the question is do you think it helped or hurt us ?

Me personally, ima say hurt.

This interview put out the idea that anyone that works for someone else is basically nothing. It wasn’t a trend that just went away either. 8 years later and the talking points dame dropped on here are still bought up right now.
The people who were defending eboni k were using these talcn points

The ironic thing is, since this interview both envy and char have continued to surpass Dame on pretty much every metric we can judge success by yet people STILL think Dame was spitting goals

I'll say neutral.

We (me) pay attention to Dame because of who he is and the roc a fella days and he's a celebrity to us. Same with P, Puff, etc.

I don't think people who aren't "checking" for Dame outside of "some dude on the breakfast club was going off" were swayed either way for the most part. I just don't think adults paying bills and raising kids are looking to Dame Dash to tell them how to move. I listen differently because I remember being a teenager and DameDash was the shyt.

Most adults tho (and me now)... if you agreed with him before..u prolly still do. If thought the "boss" talk was bullshyt before, you probably still do.

In spirit he had a good point but the way it came out was awful.

First off, there are plenty of places you can work where you get equity in the company but still have a boss to report to.

So many people in the US have become millionaires off owning a small piece of the company they work at, while the world is filled with ‘CEOs’ who have a 3-4 figure net worth….

Overall it was a net positive as someone else said, because we got this :dame:
