do you think Gangsta Rap could ever be as popular again as it was in the '80's, '90s & '00s

rap is dead, when the south started running sh!t it ruined the whole genre

rap was better off when it was strictly westcoast and eastcoast

i agree with you but at the same time i respect the real southern rappers like Scarface, Outkast, Goodie Mob, etc who do their thing. some down south shyt in the 90s i can fukk with but down south shyt from the '00s to 2010's (except for a few) i can't really fukk with.

geto boys are pioneers, i dont consider them real southern rap. when cash money rose up rap was fuked, itunes also fuked up rap and the whole music industry

Oh for sure...as I said the beats were not bad at all, but I grew up listening to MCs liek Meth, Busta, ODB, NAs, Jay, Big, Pac, on the G-funk Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, shyt even the Lady of Rage...all of them have recognizable/strong voices and flows, I mean either way you're gonna listen, even if sometimes the lyrics weren't all that. This breh right here was kind of just on the beats, not BAD but nothing particular...

the crack zombie era would have to come back for such a wicked sound to make a comeback. it aint happening.

This.

And masculinity has to come back. No way another DMX can come out and thrive in an Era of :wrist: men who had no father's or women who want everything catered to them.

Even Meek is hanging on by hype and club beats. Not for his gritty upbringing.

true. and thats why drill music is almost dead right now. most drill rappers are dead (lil jojo, l'a capone, young pappy, capo, blood money, otf nunu, lil marc) or in jail (rondonumbanine, lil jay, p. rico, lil mister, ebone hoodrich)
:(
Drill Music is dead because Chicago doesn't have a Suge Knight type personality to consolidate the talent under one roof...
