I agree. I also think it depends on what the children eventually become/make of themselves. if we used your mouse analogy, @Take It In Blood , one of those mice babies is only gonna be an accomplishment if it turns into Stuart little.Nah, Mice poop out about 8 of em every 3 months

Any way you look at a it , children are an investment (like a bond, or a house, or stocks) requiring much time and money to maintain, so I grade them accordingly. Think about it. Is buying a stock an accomplishment? No. The accomplishment is buying a stock that increases in value. You should be proud if you bought something like Tesla stock in 2014 for $30 dollars, because that stock is now worth $600. This is an accomplishment.
In a similar way, a child is an accomplishment if they make more out of their lives than what you put into them. Thus if your child becomes a doc, eng, professor, tyc00n, pro athlete, general, lawyer, scientist, etc .then you have achieved something significant by birthing him/her. this point is kind of mute for really young children (unless you got some sort of super genius like this kid-> https://www.kxxv.com/news/national/...school-with-hopes-of-becoming-a-nasa-engineer ) . So most children technically aren’t an accomplishment “yet” .
