My dad lived through the civil rights era and said the reason alot if his generation went along with the non violent approach was because they were afraid of dying and facing odds they felt they could not beat.

Seems like it hurt more then helped since the money that was in the community was then transferred to whites to buy their shyt.

It's still segregated breh. They may have taken down the whites only signs, but the policies are still in place.

Bruh it's not about how whites or racist move and segregate themselves. Just making those formerly all white schools accessible is huge for any minority demographic. You think Mexicans would risk their lives to get in the country if all they had to look forward to was sending their kids to a segregated minority school that's bound to be overcrowded, underfunded etc.

Can you tell us what's changed, aside from the fact we can now walk into a restaurant and sit next to white people? What's exactly changed, aside from the fact that black men can now play on sports teams that are still owned exclusively by whites? What's changed, aside from the fact that black children can go to school with white children and learn nothing about their history? What's changed, aside from the fact that once exclusively white companies now have one or two blacks in their still almost all white staff? What's changed, aside from the fact that black men beaten and hung for even walking in the street are now lining our prison cells at such astonishing levels that the U.S. has a higher prison population than any nation in the modern world, even more than China (a nation that exceeds a billion people)?

Let me know what's changed. Please.

Now, where did I equate that there are in fact wealthy, entrepreneurial and educated blacks in those areas did I declare that we as a collective were "winning"?

Back then the enemy and racism was clear and now it's hidden and difficult to fight against. The same person who smiles in your face today is the fukker who woulda called you the N word and kicked you out of their store then. Back then we went and built our own shop when we were kicked out, not like today where nikkas run to spend their money outside our race.

Case and point Louis Vuitton, clear cases of profiling yet nikkas still spend their money there, after Oprah got profiled everybody shoulda stopped fukkin with these big designers.

We lived in a state of apartheid. Black South Africans would never have ended that system with non-violence. Power is violent, and whites will not cede their power over our people until we become violent and stop asking for true equality.
