Integration isn't so much the issue. It was our response to it. So, you want to eat at that nice little formerly "whites only" steak house? Cool, enjoy. Eat among them, make them mad. BUT, just because you eat with them doesn't mean you need to follow them to their neighborhoods, use their doctors, lawyers, goods and services etc. Nothing about integration forced the abandonment of thriving black communities and businesses.

This is key. Integration wasn't for the black community - it was for a few individual tokens to give an illusion of progress while the system of white supremacy remains. All "integration" has achieved is a myth of so called equality that benefits the few individual Blacks who "made it" (almost always by bowing to their white master) and ignoring the Black community.

In fact, I believe it is quite arguable that Black people are much worse off than when we were segregated. The communal will to survive and prosper as a people has been lost. We have essentially been blended into a white supremacist culture that has censored our historic and present suffering out of the social fabric. Show me anywhere in the national media where the suffering of the vast majority of blacks in the ghettos is even reported or discussed. You can't. Point me towards any Black celebrity of standing that even speaks up about Black suffering. Jesse Williams is the only one, and his career is definitely about to be ended.

After the Grand Jury comes back with no indictment against Darren Wilson, Black America had BETTER wake up and be ready for WAR. Period.

Cant say either way, its a two sided coin.
We are able to thrive in ways never imaged to our ancestors.
- Black power movement ( we inspired Black People world wide to be proud) ik that happened prior to integration but it lead to it.
- Black artistry being appreciates and imitated worldwide( we would be non factors our culture would be completely stolen with no credit given to us.)
- Having a voice, it may be muffled but we have one. (we have apolitical and cultural voice)


Had we had reservations like the Natives i see our fate mirroring theirs.
- Being oppressed on all sides (no protection from anyone or anything)(its not illegal to assault natives. whites sneak on to reservations and kill and rape people.)
- No voice, out of sight out of mind. (No one cares about Natives; We don't celebrate them know any of their history or anything.)
- Stifled growth as a community. (They have wealth but no influence: neither political or cultural.)


Integration was our ancestors way of solidifying our rights/ citizenship in this country.

Black Wallstreets work on a small scale.
we need many of them not just one or two.

I think the current state of the community is due to:
Lack of for sight ( we were so concerned with Civil rights we neglected to plan a course of action after it was completed.)
Letting outsiders infiltrate our community both non black and blacks alike.( way too many agent provocateurs derailing movements)
not having a defined identity( anyone can claim to be AA, literally anyone )


Ultimately, Hind sight is always 20/20.

Worse. Interracial being the biggest blow. People always say Asians have a high interracial rate and their community is doing fine, but it's mostly the women. For blacks its the men doing the dating out. Which is disastrous because men are suppose to lead and build in a community, the women are suppose to nuture and support what the men built.

Plus the wife inherits her husband's wealth in divorces or she outlives him. The white woman is called the white man's last trick for a reason. He only FINALLY allowed us to sleep with his daughter to take our wealth. White folks stay 2 steps ahead
