Gillie knew no one would care if he just said Wayne took his style. He even admitted in an XXL interview that he never wrote shyt for Wayne, he just coached him (which is another lie).

Wayne's flow started to gradually progress to an East Coast style years before he met Gillie because he was a Jay Z fanatic.

Probably in his earlier work yes. But I know he has been writing his own shyt since 2004 at least and his best shyt came out like 05-09 so it doesn't change my opinion on him and that he's still a great rapper & artist.
