The things I do with my male best friends I could never do with my female friends. I can do those things with my male best friends because there is no attraction. But even my female friends that I have now that I'm not really attracted to, I'm sure when the moon is right and alcohol is in the system or whatever the case might be something could happen..

Im sure it happens out there, but more than not, have a best friend of the opposite sex is only because you can't be more for whatever reason.

Men and women can be friends sure. But best buddies....nah.

Thats not what I'm saying. I'm saying when these topics come up nobody is really talking about people you knew from back then before most people was even fukking count. You normally view them differently seeing them outside of just smash or pass. At least for me that's what it is. I got female friends (its only 2 that's this close but I have a few more that are real cool too lol) I grew up with and took karate classes with then spent the night at their house when we were little. We also went on family trips together, school together until 6 grade then again in HS, other memories that no chick I meet now I would have so its more smash or pass. I don't look at my female friends I grew up with in that way even though I know most look good.

Before i was with my lady, i had 3 types of female friends:

It can happy only if they are attracted to each other and repulsed by each other in equal amounts. In a lot of cases one is "too good" for the other, or they don't lead similar lifestyles. But the attraction is there. Like maybe the dude is in his exploring phase, seeing whats out there, having a decent amount of sexual interaction and the female is more the "good girl", no sex until marriage, type. Or vice versa.

I don't believe generally men will ever be "good friends" in general with women they are not attracted to in some way.

People in general tend to associate with those about equal in looks and financial department, or personality. unless in situation like @philmonroe is saying. I have 2 female friends I never pursued but grew up with from young ages.
