Doesn't really matter. Obama's role is to get people to turn out to vote for Dems. In many places, his voice and his popularity will be useful. I remember last year the GOP thought Obama campaigning in Virginia would help them... and look what happened.

Doubtful. A lot of them are ready to be rid of Trump. They may not be vocal as Trump's base but they definitely exist. The question is: will they sit out this election or vote Dem in the midterms and Presidential election?

I don't think these "Never Trumpers" exist in any significant capacity. That said I think the Dems (and Obama) need to worry about rallying their own base instead of what Republicans think. They're gonna hate Obama and anything he does regardless.
