I think the left is going to start getting it right because you have a base and a general public that like big universal policies or programs aimed at bettering the common good.
And people are running on them and will have a better chance of winning over stale personality politics or chasing the mythical middle.
I think progressives get it right, but Dems haven't quite figured it out... or maybe they have, but believe their brand of tribalism will generate greater returns.

Sure those on the other side have their own vision for America as well as i do. But how is limiting a woman's right to choose with abortion, Not coming to the table to at the very least hear out our plan for healthcare for millions of Americans "progressing forward" How is it at all progressive to refuse to even listen when we say kneeling isn't about the military but rather about black men and women being gunned down by cops with no accountability what so ever and no reforms either?.
I don't own any word but i was born here in America just like those with different political ideals were and live here like many of us Americans do. Completely shutting me down because of what i and many progressives want doesn't seem like progress or change to me. More like keeping things the same and in the past.

there is no downside to having obama stump. people who hate him already hate him and trump has a genuine cult that is energized by his impending impeachment and indictment if democrats take over. cacs are now naturally inflamed with no need of an irritant. however, obama's ability to actually help other democrats win is very lackluster given his personal charm and high approval. he is a proven under-performer. the only saving grace is you can argue that americans always vote for balance against the party in the white house, so maybe it's not obama's fault.
