I think the treacherous trait has always been there. Once you study African history extensively, you’d discover that, because it’s the reason why Europeans were able to easily use divide and conquer to takeover the whole place.

Ever wondered how it was possible for a few thousands of Europeans that went to Africa to conquer millions of people? Well, it was because of treachery. How they did it: they’ll make a deal with one group, then use them as foot soldiers with sophisticated weapons to conquer another group. And then use the newly conquered group as foot soldiers to conquer the group they initially made a deal with. Rinse and repeat.

I think the only thing we learnt from Europeans is being cold hearted. But the problem is that we’re only cold hearted to our own kind while Europeans have found a way to mostly channel their cold heartedness to other race and they’re very vicious with it despite how frail they look.

In the right environment that could change. Or you could be pure of heart and go against that environment. But most people move with the masses. And the masses are usually controlled by the few at the top historically. And the few at the top are usually corrupted by power. Even the ones who may have started out well intentioned.

How would we not get better if we went back to worshipping nature that gives us life and sustains us. And being spiritual beings? If we stopped playing the Europeans game,the country would crumble.
