Do you think the reparations topic will shift to going after Africa (first)?

There have been many topics lately placing more blame on Africa and the role they played… even the Dahomey tribe with the recent woman king film.

I’m seeing more of a shift than I have ever seen before…

I’ve heard some say, that’s it’s easiest to go after weaker targets first… 🤔 thought?

Good luck.

Like do y'all think tribes have central banks, or reserve funds, that will pay out reperations? :mjlol:

Plus a lot of tribes were forced into a dilemma of either enslaving or being enslaved at gun point. So I would love to know how this whole plan of getting money from a tribe is going to work.

Yeah good luck getting money from broke africa :laff:
I think the idea would be to get some resources, land, minerals, gold, etc…

🤔 Funny yall think Africa is poor but the Chinese and Europe definitely don’t think Africa is poor

You're perpetuating the lie that Africa sold people to the Arabs and Europeans.

You're so blinded by the prospect of a check in the mail you dont even have time to comfirm facts.
Even if Africans weren't broke they'd laugh in your face, walk off and never cut you that check. Because that would be tantamount to them taking the blame for slavery..

Its counterintuitive to seek debts from poor people.

You could shake more money from just the North East US section of citiBank than you could get out of the entire group of modern dahomey descedents in benin. And This says nothing of the other banking institutions that financed slavery .

People already have and were. It was all good until that British lady went on Don Lemon and reminded everyone that's a white/european talking point.

It's a good indicator of someone just saying anything though. The countries we know were formed within most of our parents lifetime. Plus, a lot of the people that tend to say it (casually) will just as soon question or dismiss any international appeals cause "were American and our fight is with the American government"

Have you ever been to the motherland?

I know Africans that can dance circles around you financially.

You sound like a fukking hillbilly.
I’m Ghanaian. And yes we are broke. And yes, lots of individual Africans can dance circle around me financially, but how many of them will pay a penny as reparations? :russ:

I don't think there's a string enough of an argument.

Going after America makes sense cause Blacks were legally discriminated against

Black Self-Sufficiency
Though some tribes in Africa played a significant part in the initial sale of some of our ancestors, their part was still a minor part compared to the 4 centuries of mistreatment Black Americans received here in the US. So no, I do not think going after the African tribes for reparations is the path to take. It would be futile, and time can be better spent going after those who really benefitted from Slavery and later Second class citizen (Jim Crow) cast system created here in this country.
