Do you think there will ever be a rap artist recording until 70 like David Bowie?

Look, leave your cacs and all that at home.

But I was listening to Bowie's new album today, and it's one of his most adventurous and experimental albums yet. Which is extraordinary, once you take into account Bowie's contemporaries and the fact that there aren't many 69-70 year olds pushing boundaries like Bowie.

But it got me thinking...do you ever think we'll see a rap artist, not necessarily like Bowie, because it's not same, but one who will stay relevant until they are old? :jbhmm:

Or does rap move too quickly? Or will rap as we know it change more and more as music becomes genre less and rappers stray more and more away from traditional rap sounds? :jbhmm:

great thread and question @penfield

i think i could see nas doin' that and in fact he has been. he's always movin' forward as an mc and artist. he made a nice move workin' with damian marley
another someone i think of is snoop. hell, snoop has done a reggae album!

rap does move too fast for the average hip hop artist but there are a few rappers like nas, like snoop and like scarface who always seem to stay ahead of the curve and move to the beat of their own drum

again, great thread, bruh. 5 stars, dap and +rep :salute:

I see Nas being able to pull it off. But then again, it all depends on where Hip Hop goes in the future.
